Procurement Specialist – Soft Commodities (Dairy)

About the role

As a Procurement Specialist for soft commodities, you will shape and execute the EU & Global dairy sourcing strategy. Based at our Amsterdam headquarters, you will act as the primary liaison between internal teams and external suppliers, driving both operational efficiency and strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the EU & Global dairy procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead portfolio initiatives such as alternate supplier approvals, market development, and complexity reduction to unlock margin.
• Manage contract negotiations, RFQ processes, e‑tenders, and supplier data analysis.
• Build a forward‑looking savings and cash pipeline using market intelligence and price risk‑management principles.
• Partner with Commodity Risk Management to define hedging strategies and ensure hedge compliance.
• Maintain supplier compliance, quality standards, and responsible sourcing policies.
• Collaborate with R&D and sustainability teams to drive innovation and meet Unilever’s sustainability targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within the dairy or soft‑commodity sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate market data into actionable strategies.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, both internal and external.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional projects and influence senior leadership.
