Senior Buyer – Offshore Oil & Gas

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Buyer to lead strategic sourcing, supplier management, and cost optimisation for an international offshore oil and gas business. The role works closely with Engineering, Production and Procurement leadership to ensure continuity of supply, quality performance and long‑term supplier partnerships, especially for mechanical and electronic components.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodities.
• Select, qualify and manage suppliers, negotiating pricing, contracts and agreements.
• Support purchase order management to maintain smooth production and supply continuity.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, audits and development programmes to drive performance improvement.
• Act as a liaison across Procurement, Engineering and Production to resolve supplier issues.
• Support global procurement strategy and ensure compliance with internal processes and ethical standards.
• Maintain accurate procurement and master data in Oracle.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Engineering or a Procurement‑related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in global procurement within complex industrial sectors.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience sourcing mechanical or electronic components.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluent English; Dutch is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
