Senior Planner - Hyperscale Data Centers

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Planner to join a major hyperscale data centre campus programme in Groningen. Working closely with the Campus Planning Lead, you will own the development, maintenance and reporting of detailed construction schedules for multiple large‑scale data centre builds.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Level 3 and Level 4 construction schedules, ensuring logical links, resource loading and alignment with the campus master programme.
• Identify critical and near‑critical path activities, flagging risks promptly.
• Incorporate progress updates, change events and look‑ahead planning to keep schedules accurate.
• Conduct site visits, validate progress and produce weekly/monthly performance reports with variance and earned‑value analysis.
• Prepare 2‑week and 6‑week look‑ahead programmes in collaboration with site teams.
• Integrate individual project schedules into the overall campus master programme and coordinate milestones across teams.
• Assist in risk identification, delay analysis, change impact assessments and develop recovery plans.
• Review subcontractor programmes, track long‑lead items and support commissioning and completion planning.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of construction planning or project controls experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead capacity.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Solid understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM) and look‑ahead planning techniques.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and construction programmes.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Valid EU passport and willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Groningen.
