Business Development & Account Manager – Acquiring & PSP

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Business Development & Account Manager to grow existing partnerships and originate new opportunities with acquirers and payment service providers in the Netherlands. The role combines relationship management, commercial execution and market development to expand Mastercard’s acceptance footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned acquirers and PSP partners.
• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with stakeholders across commercial, product, and operations teams.
• Develop and execute account plans to grow partner performance and deepen collaboration.
• Monitor partner performance (KPIs, volumes, revenue) and proactively identify improvement opportunities.
• Identify, originate, and drive new business opportunities across the Dutch market.
• Expand Mastercard’s acceptance footprint, transaction volumes, and revenue streams.
• Leverage insights from the Netherlands payments ecosystem to uncover growth opportunities.
• Lead commercial negotiations and partnership expansions with new and existing partners.
• Position and deliver Mastercard’s products, value‑added services, and innovation initiatives to partners.
• Collaborate with internal teams (product, technology, compliance, marketing) to ensure successful implementation and go‑to‑market execution.
• Support partners with technical and operational enablement where needed.
