Android Developer

About the role

As an Android Developer at bunq you will shape the experience of a fast‑growing banking app used worldwide. You will be responsible for delivering smooth, responsive, and reliable features while continuously improving performance and stability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a stable, high‑quality Android app by identifying, analysing and fixing crashes, bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Own end‑to‑end implementation of new features, from design to production release.
• Drive architectural decisions by writing clean, testable, maintainable code.
• Use profiling and debugging tools to resolve memory leaks, crashes and performance issues.
• Collaborate with a global, English‑speaking team to ensure consistent user experience.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of Kotlin and ability to write idiomatic code.
• Experience with modern Android architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVI.
• Proficiency with Jetpack libraries, especially Jetpack Compose.
• Strong debugging skills and familiarity with profiling tools.
• Fluent English communication for a distributed team.
