Data Insights Editor

About the role

Stats Perform is looking for a Data Insights Editor to join its Data Insights team in Amsterdam. You will combine deep football knowledge with the Opta database to produce data‑driven editorial content for sports media clients.

Key responsibilities

• Create and edit football‑focused data content for a range of media clients using the Opta database.
• Coordinate with international Data Insights teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.
• Provide live support during onsite shifts at broadcast studios, delivering insights to presenters and commentators.
• Contribute to the production of social‑media content that showcases data storytelling.
• Generate innovative ideas for using data to enhance storytelling and audience engagement.

Required profile

• Fluent in Dutch and English.
• Resident of the Netherlands, within commuting distance of the Amsterdam office.
• Extensive knowledge of European football, especially Dutch leagues and UEFA club competitions.
• Ability to turn raw data into compelling editorial pieces and reports.
• Willingness to work shift‑based schedules, including weekends and nights.
• Comfortable working under tight deadlines in a high‑pressure, multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word.
