Solutions Architect – EU Trade & Customs

About the role

Altana is expanding its international government business in Europe and seeks a Solutions Architect to lead technical engagements with customs authorities, finance ministries and trade enforcement agencies across the EU. The role combines deep domain expertise in trade and customs with pre‑sales activities to shape and sell Altana’s AI‑powered platform.

Key responsibilities

• Deeply understand international trade, economic security, Altana’s technology and the European public‑sector customer base.
• Support the sales process by identifying use cases, running demos, and translating customer challenges into solution architectures.
• Become a power‑user of the Altana platform and produce insightful analysis to facilitate the sales cycle.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and marketing teams, acting as the voice of the customer.
• Help establish Altana’s presence in the EU through recruiting, knowledge building and other firm‑building activities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in the international trade space with strong knowledge of customs, trade processes and economic security practices.
• Experience delivering software tools and frameworks; familiarity with modern AI tools is a plus.
• Excellent presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to map customer business problems to Altana’s solutions.
• Working knowledge of EU or member‑state operations or government procurement processes is a major plus.
