About the role

Orchid House is seeking an enthusiastic All‑Round Hospitality Employee to support both front‑of‑house and kitchen operations in a dynamic, guest‑focused environment. The role combines service, bar, and food preparation duties, offering a varied day‑to‑day experience.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests, take and serve food and drink orders.
• Prepare and serve beverages, including bar service.
• Assist with mise en place, light kitchen tasks and outdoor braai setups.
• Grill meats, prepare side dishes and traditional braai items such as boerewors and sosaties.
• Restock supplies, maintain clean work areas and support events or special hospitality moments.

Required profile

• Practical, guest‑focused and comfortable in a fast‑paced hospitality setting.
• Previous experience in hospitality, catering or events, with a willingness to work evenings and weekends.
• Ability to work independently, stay calm under pressure and follow food‑hygiene standards.

Required skills

• Grilling and open‑fire cooking, including managing wood or charcoal fires.
• Experience with braai‑style cooking and preparing traditional South African dishes.
