Diesel Mechanic – Afrikaans Speaking (Netherlands)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Diesel Mechanic who is fluent in Afrikaans and English to join our team in the Netherlands on a 2‑year contract. You will work on‑site, maintaining and repairing large heavy‑duty trucks for a variety of European brands.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and complex repairs on diesel trucks (MAN, Volvo, Mercedes, Iveco, etc.).
• Diagnose and fix electrical and electronic system issues using diagnostic tools.
• Work in rotating shifts to ensure 24/7 workshop coverage.
• Maintain accurate service records and comply with safety standards.

Required profile

• Qualified RED SEAL (N3) Diesel Mechanic.
• 1‑5 years of experience with large diesel trucks.
• Fluent in Afrikaans and English.
• Willingness to work shifts and relocate to the Netherlands.
• Either limited experience (max 5 years) or hold European citizenship.

Required skills

• Diesel engine maintenance.
• Heavy‑duty truck repair.
• Experience with MAN, Volvo, Mercedes, Iveco trucks.
• Electrical diagnostic systems.

What we offer

• 2‑year fixed‑term contract (40 h/week) with potential for permanent employment.
