Director of Applications

About the role

QuantWare is building world‑leading quantum processors and needs a senior leader to turn complex enterprise computational challenges into quantified quantum business cases. As Director of Applications you will own end‑user partnerships, lead a small senior team, and act as the executive interface with strategic partners.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end execution and delivery of strategic quantum application discovery projects with enterprise partners.
• Collaborate with partner teams to build and present robust business cases that quantify ROI of quantum applications.
• Recruit, manage, and lead a team of Senior Quantum Algorithm Experts, Applications Engineers, and Solutions Engineers.
• Build and maintain high‑trust relationships with strategic and technical leadership at partner organizations.
• Establish and scale repeatable frameworks for business case development, project execution, and results reporting.
• Translate enterprise application requirements and hardware performance targets back to internal product, systems, and business development teams.

Required profile

• Proven track record of building quantified business cases for complex technology adoption, preferably in compute‑intensive domains.
• 5+ years of leadership experience building and managing high‑performing technical teams.
• Exceptional cross‑functional communicator able to bridge deep technical topics with strategic and commercial audiences.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mathematics, or an MBA paired with a technical undergraduate degree.
• Strategic leader with high ownership and strong outcome focus.
