Facilities Shift Manager

About the role

As a Facilities Shift Manager you will oversee the reliability, safety and performance of critical infrastructure in a flagship data centre operating 24/7. You will ensure building systems and assets function optimally during your shift to support continuous uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee shift operations for power, cooling, security and monitoring systems, proactively identifying issues before they impact service.
• Schedule and complete planned preventative maintenance, ensuring quality standards and maximum uptime.
• Coordinate and supervise maintenance activities, managing permits and strict safety protocols.
• Enforce compliance with SOPs, MOPs and EOPs, and lead scenario‑based drills and audits.
• Prepare detailed maintenance reports and maintain transparent records for management.

Required profile

• Technically strong facilities professional with experience in 24/7 critical environments.
• Calm under pressure, disciplined and able to respond to incidents and coordinate maintenance.
• Safety‑first mindset with full compliance to SOPs, MOPs, EOPs and health & safety standards.
• Leadership ability to set expectations, motivate the shift team and lead by example.
• Data‑driven approach to identify risks, drive efficiencies and raise operational standards.
