Field Engineer (Forward Deployed Engineering)

About the role

This is the execution-focused half of a Forward Deployed Engineering function at a fintech startup building global business identity and onboarding infrastructure. You act as the technical bridge between customers and the product team, owning implementations end‑to‑end.

Key responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to help them successfully implement and adopt the platform.
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for integrations, onboarding, and product rollouts.
• Scope technical requirements early in the implementation cycle to set customers up for long‑term success.
• Troubleshoot integration issues in production environments and guide customers toward scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and growth teams to identify and reduce friction in implementation flows.
• Improve documentation, tooling, and internal processes to make future implementations faster and smoother.

Required profile

• 4‑5+ years of experience in customer‑facing technical roles such as field engineering, solutions engineering, or technical implementation.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting and resolving technical integration issues in production environments.
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce customer‑facing API or implementation documentation.
• Domain knowledge in KYB, KYC, AML, or regulated onboarding is essential.
• Available to work within a European timezone.

What we offer

• Base salary range EUR 93,000 – EUR 146,000, determined by level with a transparent leveling system.
• Fully remote work within European timezones, with Amsterdam as the primary hub and regular in‑person team gatherings.
