General Services Management Assistant

About the role

The International Court of Justice is seeking a General Services Management Assistant to support the Head of the Security and General Assistance Division. The role is based in The Hague and focuses on non‑security administrative functions, including budget, procurement and property management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and monitoring the division’s budget, verifying fund availability and suggesting adjustments.
• Draft specifications, terms of reference and source‑selection plans for procurement requisitions and coordinate with the procurement unit.
• Monitor vendor performance, process invoices and compile performance reports.
• Receive, inspect and record purchased goods and services, ensuring property records are updated in the Umoja system.
• Supervise the General Assistance Unit (5 staff) and act as the focal point for all administrative matters within the division.

Required profile

• Proven experience in budget preparation, financial monitoring and procurement processes.
• Ability to supervise a small team and coordinate administrative activities.
• Familiarity with United Nations administrative procedures and property management.
