Global IT Technology Operations Director

About the role

Trivium Packaging is seeking a senior technology leader to direct its global IT technology operations. The role oversees the stability, reliability and scalability of core business applications, with a primary focus on the SAP ecosystem and modern cloud‑based platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global technology operations teams supporting enterprise applications and SAP platforms.
• Define and enforce enterprise‑wide Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) standards and best practices.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, resilience and operational excellence across the application landscape.
• Build and optimise support models, including near‑shore/off‑shore delivery capabilities.
• Drive digital adoption initiatives across AI, data, automation and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with Business Technology, Infrastructure and Centres of Excellence (Data, AI, Software Development).
• Oversee technical backbone – SAP platforms, cloud infrastructure, API management, data & AI solutions and OT environments – ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture.
• Manage strategic relationships with SAP and other technology vendors, governing delivery quality, SLA compliance and M&A integration activities.
• Ensure compliance with information security, GDPR, data governance, IT controls and enterprise architecture principles.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of senior IT leadership experience in technology operations, support or application management.
• Proven track record of managing global, mission‑critical SAP environments and enterprise applications.
• Strong vendor management and stakeholder partnership skills.
• Experience driving digital transformation and operational excellence at scale.
