GSE Manager – Ground Support Equipment Operations

About the role

dnata is seeking a GSE Manager to lead the availability, reliability and cost‑effective operation of Ground Support Equipment at its Amsterdam (AMS) station. The role owns the relationship with the GSE leasing and maintenance supplier and ensures fleet performance aligns with the airport’s operational demand.

Key responsibilities

• Own the commercial and operational relationship with outsourced GSE leasing and maintenance providers, ensuring contract compliance and performance.
• Manage GSE contracts, monitor SLAs, validate costs and invoices, and lead supplier performance reviews.
• Define fleet requirements, replacement strategies and sustainability initiatives to support growth plans.
• Ensure fleet availability, reliability and contingency planning for uninterrupted airport operations.
• Drive continuous improvement through cost, safety and utilization analysis.
• Lead compliance with safety, quality, regulatory and environmental standards, including audits and risk management.
• Manage GSE budgets, total cost of ownership and damage‑reduction initiatives.
• Develop and motivate the GSE team, ensuring capability, certification and succession planning.

Required profile

• 8–10 years’ experience in GSE fleet management, ground handling or supplier/contract management, including 4+ years managing outsourced providers.
• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Automotive) or equivalent technical apprenticeship with relevant GSE experience.
• Strong knowledge of ground handling safety standards and Dutch/EU health & safety regulations.
