Impact Investment Manager – P2 (Finance & Agri)

About the role

The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) seeks an Impact Investment Manager to originate, assess and implement debt investments for SMEs and smallholder farmers in the agricultural sector across its member countries.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a pipeline of investment opportunities, balancing impact, risk and return.
• Lead the full deal execution cycle – from origination and on‑site/off‑site due diligence to financial modelling, credit appraisal, loan structuring and documentation.
• Monitor and manage a portfolio of debt investments, ensuring performance against market and impact benchmarks.
• Conduct legal and commercial negotiations with investees, drafting terms and finalising agreements.
• Prepare internal and external reports to track transaction and portfolio performance.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Economics, Business Administration, Agribusiness, Finance or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial or development environment, preferably in an impact fund, commercial/development bank or development finance organization.
• Strong analytical skills in finance and credit analysis with solid understanding of accounting standards.
• Experience assessing business models of agri‑sector SMEs and their social and environmental performance.
• Knowledge of commodity value chains, rural development, regenerative agriculture and circular economies.
• Proven ability to work in a multicultural, international setting; fluency in English required, French an advantage.
