Information Security Officer – ISO & Compliance Lead

About the role

We are looking for an Information Security Officer to serve as the central point of contact for all information security matters, reporting directly to the Head of Information Security. You will maintain the Information Security Management System, lead ISO certification efforts and ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR and NIS2.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, document and update information security policies and procedures, keeping them current and compliant with ISO 27001, GDPR and NIS2.
• Lead preparation for internal and external audits, driving the achievement and maintenance of ISO certifications.
• Perform regular risk assessments, identify improvement areas and coordinate targeted security projects.
• Assess security incidents, determine root causes and oversee corrective actions.
• Organise engaging awareness programmes to educate employees on security protocols and threat prevention.

Required profile

• BA/MSc or HBO degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in information security, risk management or compliance.
• Professional fluency in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Agile, proactive work ethic with strong problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• ISO 27001, GDPR and NIS2 frameworks.
• Risk assessment methodology.
• Security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS) and antivirus solutions.
