Investment Banking Analyst – Amsterdam

About the role

Citi Banking is looking for a motivated Investment Banking Analyst to join its Amsterdam team. The analyst will support clients in capital‑raising activities, strategic advisory, and execution of complex corporate finance transactions while working closely with senior CIB professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior CIB officers on client transactions, projects and assignments.
• Organise and analyse sophisticated financial data that underpins client proposals and business plans.
• Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials and statistical exhibits for pitch presentations and deal execution.
• Conduct economic and financial research to inform strategic decision‑making.
• Evaluate company performance against industry trends to identify insights and opportunities.
• Build and maintain complex financial models for valuation purposes.
• Assess and mitigate risk, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations and Citi policies.

Required profile

• Final‑year university student or recent graduate with a 2:1 (or equivalent) or Grade 7+ in the Netherlands.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a closely related field.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
• Strong academic record and demonstrable interest in the financial industry.
