Lakebase Sales Specialist

About the role

Databricks is looking for a Lakebase Sales Specialist to help customers modernise their operational data foundation with Lakebase, a fully‑managed Postgres service for intelligent applications. The role works closely with regional Account Executives to drive adoption across platform, application and data teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new Lakebase revenue by identifying, qualifying and activating customers in partnership with Account Executives.
• Lead outcome‑focused conversations with platform teams, developers, data teams and central IT to demonstrate how Lakebase accelerates feature delivery and improves governance.
• Run complex sales cycles from discovery through negotiation, coordinating executive, technical and line‑of‑business stakeholders.
• Orchestrate proof‑of‑value and POC engagements with solution architects to validate Lakebase for OLTP workloads, reverse ETL and AI/ML‑driven applications.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Customer Success and Partner teams to shape territory plans and co‑selling motions.

Required profile

• Proven enterprise sales experience with a track record of exceeding quota on multi‑stakeholder deals.
• Success selling data platforms, operational databases or related AI infrastructure to both technical and business buyers.
• Ability to engage strategic accounts, drive long‑term Postgres standardisation and create new intelligent applications.
• Executive presence to lead C‑level conversations, whiteboard architectures and build trust.

Required skills

• Postgres and MySQL database expertise.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure and GCP.
• Knowledge of reverse ETL, real‑time decisioning and operational analytics use cases.
• Familiarity with cloud‑native services, microservices and event‑driven architectures.
