Legal Commercial Counsel – EMEA

About the role

Axon is seeking a Legal Commercial Counsel to join its contracts and corporate team in Amsterdam. The role supports the global sales organization, structuring and negotiating complex transactions for public‑safety technology products while helping to build scalable legal processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support EMEA sales teams and, as needed, other regions with contract structuring, review and negotiation for goods, services and SaaS solutions.
• Provide risk analyses and recommendations, set and enforce acceptable risk levels, and maintain the knowledge bank and playbooks.
• Supervise and review the work of Contracts Managers.
• Develop, update and maintain template contract language, risk analyses, policies and procedures, and support the implementation of a contract lifecycle management system.
• Offer legal advice on regulatory compliance and other operational matters, and collaborate with attorneys, contracts managers and administrative support.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts, preferably in‑house.
• Experience structuring, drafting and negotiating high‑volume contracts for SaaS, hardware and services.
• Knowledge of procurement laws and processes in the UK and EU.
• J.D. and membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar or authorization to practice in the UK or EU.
• Ability to travel up to 15 % of the time and work onsite in Amsterdam 4 days a week.
