MEMS Development & Production Engineer

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a MEMS Development & Production Engineer to join its expanding Delft team. You will work in a clean‑room environment, contributing across the product lifecycle from prototype modules to scalable production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prototype MEMS modules in a cleanroom environment.
• Contribute to module design and iteration.
• Develop and automate test setups.
• Translate R&D into scalable production processes.
• Oversee module assembly and supplier coordination.
• Support lab operations and equipment maintenance.
• Contribute to yield improvement and root‑cause analysis.
• Assist with quality systems and documentation.

Required profile

• Degree in Physics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Experience with MEMS, cleanroom processes, and testing.
• Familiarity with process control; quality experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.
• Comfortable in a flexible, evolving environment.
