Senior Associate – Tax Accounting Services

About the role

As a Senior Associate in Tax Accounting Services you will operate at the intersection of taxation and accounting, supporting multinational clients with profit‑tax processing and compliance across Dutch and international jurisdictions. You will join PwC’s Dutch offices and collaborate with audit and advisory teams to deliver high‑quality tax solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of tax compliance engagements, leading the preparation and filing of complex tax returns.
• Support financial audit teams by reviewing the tax position in annual financial statements.
• Advise clients on optimizing tax accounting processes, including the use of technology and data‑visualisation tools.
• Assist with reporting requirements for transactions such as carve‑outs, IPOs, bond listings and acquisitions.
• Analyse the impact of new accounting standards on tax accounting and prepare position papers.
• Coordinate with control teams to ensure alignment between IFRS, US GAAP, Dutch GAAP and local tax legislation.

Required profile

• Degree in Tax Law, Fiscal Economics, Accountancy or a related field.
• Strong interest in tax regulations, financial reporting and technological developments.
• Ability to work independently and take personal responsibility.
• Excellent teamwork skills and a proactive, energetic attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP and Dutch GAAP.
• Experience with tax compliance software and data extraction, transformation and visualisation solutions.
• Understanding of international tax reporting requirements.
