Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the Identity & Access Management (IAM) team at DataSnipper. In this role you will design and build core platform services that power authentication, authorization, and access across our product.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, secure IAM platform services.
• Own and drive architecture decisions for backend systems.
• Work across teams to enable identity and access flows across the platform.
• Ensure high reliability, performance, and security.
• Handle ambiguous, high‑level problems and turn them into structured solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate technical decisions and risks clearly.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation (second line after tech support).

Required profile

• 7+ years of backend development experience (C#, Java, Python, TypeScript, etc.).
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Proven track record of building scalable, reliable systems.
• Experience with system design and architecture.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
• Bias to action and sense of ownership.
• Ability to work independently on complex and ambiguous problems.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted development tools.
• Wealth of experience around testing and various methodologies.
