Senior Compensation & Benefits Advisor, EU and Strategic Initiatives

About the role

Prosper Global, formerly Mercy Corps, is a humanitarian organization seeking a Senior Compensation & Benefits Advisor for its Europe and Strategic Initiatives function, based in The Hague with flexible working from home (Netherlands base location preferred). The role designs and delivers compensation, benefits and performance management frameworks for a diverse workforce across European markets and globally, and works with global teams, regional leadership and HR colleagues to make pay structures market-relevant and performance-driven.

Key responsibilities

• Operationalize the People Strategy and champion a forward-looking total rewards and performance management strategy linked to financial, operational and impact performance.
• Design and implement scalable, globally consistent compensation and benefits frameworks and tools, and build and maintain strategic external partnerships.
• Design, implement and refine global salary structures, grading frameworks and pay policies, and lead regular market benchmarking and salary analysis.
• Improve job evaluation, role architecture and pay-for-performance methods, and integrate compensation with performance management systems.
• Harmonize benefits strategies across European jurisdictions and stay up to date with employment law in European countries where Prosper Global operates.
• Advise leadership on compensation, performance calibration, workforce planning and organizational design.
• Own the global mobility workstream, including reviewing and advising on requests, and develop metrics, dashboards and reporting frameworks.
• Work with Talent Acquisition to position total rewards as a competitive advantage in attracting talent from private-sector and impact-investing backgrounds.
• Communicate compensation and benefits initiatives internally, coach colleagues and uphold ethical standards and safeguarding responsibilities.
