Senior Consultant Internal Audit & Control

About the role

PwC is looking for a Senior Consultant in Internal Audit & Control to help organisations strengthen their risk management and internal control environments. You will work with a diverse, international team of experts, guiding clients from initial engagement through to the delivery of actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute internal audits to enhance clients' internal control frameworks.
• Assist clients in designing and implementing risk and control structures.
• Develop processes that address IT‑related risks and embed appropriate control measures.
• Leverage digital tools, including AI‑based solutions, to optimise risk‑management infrastructure.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging trends in internal audit and control, contributing to the firm’s knowledge base.
• Travel to client sites across the Netherlands and, when required, internationally.

Required profile

• People‑oriented, solution‑focused and comfortable in complex, politically dynamic environments.
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• At least 3 years of experience in internal audit, operational risk management, internal controls, or IT risk.
• WO master’s degree in Technical Business Administration, Accountancy, Business‑related studies, Economics or Social Sciences.
• Critical mindset with a keen eye for detail.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to take on challenges.
• Professional certifications such as RO, RC, RA, RE or CIA are a plus.
