Senior Project Associate – Institutional Donor Engagement

About the role

The Senior Project Associate supports IOM Netherlands in engaging institutional donors, coordinating fundraising initiatives and maintaining donor intelligence. Working under the Chief of Mission and the Head of the ERCOM Unit, the role ensures alignment with corporate fundraising frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Act as focal point for institutional donor engagement, coordinating meetings, briefings and high‑level visits.
• Support implementation and monitoring of fundraising and donor engagement initiatives, including preparation of agendas and follow‑up actions.
• Maintain donor data in CRM systems, ensure accurate tracking and institutional memory.
• Provide inputs for donor updates, concept notes and tailored engagement materials.
• Monitor donor priorities, funding trends and risks relevant to IOM Netherlands.

Required profile

• High school diploma with six years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with four years of experience.
• Experience in donor relations, fundraising or external partnerships, preferably within an international or UN context.
• Fluency in English and Dutch (oral and written); knowledge of Spanish or French is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for donor tracking.
• Strong drafting and coordination abilities.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
