Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are expanding our central Site Reliability Engineering team to ensure reliable, secure, and high‑performance services for ClickHouse Cloud. In this remote senior role you will design, build, and operate scalable, fault‑tolerant distributed systems while collaborating with multiple engineering groups.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement secure, highly available systems across the Data Plane, Control Plane, and ClickHouse Core.
• Establish and manage SLOs and SLAs for ClickHouse Cloud services.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes, including blameless post‑mortems.
• Drive chaos engineering initiatives and continuously improve reliability and performance.
• Manage on‑call rotations, escalation procedures, and automation tooling to reduce downtime.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Strong problem‑solving and production debugging skills.
• Excellent communication, ownership, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Programming in Go and/or Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of distributed databases and SQL; familiarity with ClickHouse is a plus.
• Container orchestration using Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
• Automation and configuration management with Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
