Strategic Pricing Advisor (Remote Flexible)

About the role

Prosper Global, formerly Mercy Corps, is a humanitarian organization that works with communities affected by conflict, climate change and economic hardship. The Strategic Pricing Officer sits between Business Development and International Finance and supports the organization in competing for funding while keeping proposals financially sustainable and compliant. The role reports to the Strategic Pricing Senior Manager and works with Business Development, Regional Finance, Program and Country teams. It is full-time, remote and flexible, based in the Netherlands with UK, Jordan or Kenya also possible.

Key responsibilities

• Support pricing strategies and develop compliant, competitive cost proposals across donors and clients
• Review budget assumptions, scenarios and calculations for accuracy and consistency
• Act as a finance partner in proposal development, assessing financial feasibility and value-for-money
• Help evaluate commercial models, partner arrangements and consortium budgets
• Conduct financial analysis, scenario planning and sensitivity analysis, and maintain pricing benchmarks
• Evaluate financial and commercial risks and escalate significant issues to the Senior Manager
• Train Country and Regional teams on budgeting and pricing, and share pricing standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in budgeting, proposal finance, pricing or a related field, preferably in an INGO or complex environment
• Understanding of donor funding mechanisms and proposal development
• Experience developing and reviewing budgets and financial proposals
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance colleagues
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work across finance, operations, programs and business development
