Technical Innovation Consultant

About the role

As a Technical Innovation Consultant you will join the ICT team responsible for assessing WBSO (Research and Development Promotion Act) applications. You will help entrepreneurs secure tax incentives by verifying genuine technical innovation in software development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Read and evaluate R&D project proposals for technical innovation and bottleneck resolution.
• Maintain regular contact with entrepreneurs, intermediaries, and fellow advisors to clarify applications.
• Provide written advice and explain decisions by phone or email.
• Collaborate in an agile/scrum environment, sharing planning, production, and quality responsibilities.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, blockchain and big data.

Required profile

• Employed by a company (not a freelancer or owner‑employee).
• Relevant knowledge or experience with R&D assessments.
• Completed HBO degree in (Technical) Informatics or a similar field.
• PSPO1 – Professional Product Owner certification.
• SAFe certification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and ICT.
