3D Vision for Robotics Internship

About the role

Join fiducial’s fast‑growing deep‑tech team in Delft to work on cutting‑edge 3D vision solutions for robotics and UAV situational awareness. You will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop key components used by defence and inspection customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and improve the in‑house state‑of‑the‑art visual odometry engine.
• Reconstruct 3D flight paths from camera detections.
• Implement novel depth‑estimation methods for navigation.

Required profile

• Experience with real‑time software development (e.g., game, simulation, robotics, embedded).
• Background in 3D vision for robotics such as SLAM, VIO or LIO.
• Familiarity with projective geometry, epipolar geometry and PnP algorithms.
• Hands‑on experience with 3D reconstruction tools like Gaussian splatting, COLMAP or photogrammetry pipelines.
• Proficiency in modern C++.
• Full‑time availability for a 6‑month internship.
• Ability to learn quickly and work autonomously.
