Account Manager – Payments Solutions

About the role

Adyen is looking for a proactive Account Manager to join its Amsterdam team. You will manage relationships with innovative international merchants across multiple industries, delivering outstanding customer experiences and driving commercial growth.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with fellow Account Managers and internal teams on a wide portfolio of accounts.
• Grow and retain customers by focusing on commercial growth, satisfaction and churn reduction.
• Lead commercial discussions, meeting strategic and financial targets.
• Prioritise and manage short‑ and long‑term projects across multiple accounts, leveraging internal support.
• Provide a feedback loop to internal teams based on customer insights.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in a client‑facing commercial role, preferably in payments, enterprise software or financial services.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to engage customers and internal stakeholders.
• Passion for managing a diverse portfolio of accounts and learning about the payments industry.
• Proactive in identifying commercial opportunities and driving discussions.
• Excellent time‑management and efficiency mindset.
• Professional written and verbal proficiency in Dutch and English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
