Associate Scientist – Veterinary Diagnostics

About the role

Join the Center for Diagnostic Solutions (CDS) in Boxmeer as an Associate Scientist, supporting global veterinary vaccine lifecycle management. You will plan, execute, and report a broad range of diagnostic assays while collaborating with Global Technical Marketing and R&D teams.

Key responsibilities

• Organize, conduct, and report multiple laboratory assays and processes.
• Identify, document, and follow up on assay deviations.
• Maintain stock of reagents and consumables.
• Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and report equipment malfunctions.
• Support training of trainees and new employees.
• Provide laboratory support to project teams and propose process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with GLP, SHE, IT, and laboratory coordination requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Life Sciences or related field.
• Hands‑on experience with immunological and virological techniques.
• Familiarity with GLP, ISO or other regulated laboratory environments.
• Proactive, pragmatic, and able to work independently.
• Strong team player with a flexible, collaborative mindset.
• Resides within reasonable commuting distance of Boxmeer.
