Design Engineer

About the role

SGL is seeking a Design Engineer to join its Engineered Solutions team and help deliver elite natural‑grass surfaces for world‑class stadiums. You will work at the intersection of science, technology and commercial growth, supporting projects across the Middle East, United States and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Provide design engineering expertise and project support to the Engineered Solutions (ES) team.
• Support the development and integration of SGL technologies into complex stadium projects.
• Collaborate with internal HVAC specialists to apply technical solutions within the ES portfolio.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement ES projects.
• Work across multiple sports (football, tennis, rugby, baseball, etc.) and coordinate with architects, engineers, grounds managers and sports performance teams.
• Partner with sales and business development to drive growth and strategic partnerships.

Required profile

• Technical background in sports design, horticulture or environmental engineering.
• Ambitious and able to operate in a global, multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Strong interest in combining scientific knowledge with commercial project delivery.
