Events Operations Waiter

About the role

The Hoxton, Amsterdam is looking for an outgoing Events Operations Waiter to report to the Manager. The role ensures the smooth running of the apartment, handles guests' requests and takes care of on-the-day catering arrangements. The restaurant, Lotti's, sits on the Herengracht canal and serves brasserie-style cuisine; the café is open during the day and hosts DJs Thursday to Sunday.

Key responsibilities

• Act as gatekeeper for meeting room logistics, knowing who is using which room and what is needed.
• Maintain the meeting room area so that all rooms are set up correctly and kept tidy at all times.
• Keep track of meeting room maintenance, ensure rooms are set up correctly and make sure billing, check-in and check-out for events run smoothly.
• Make sure food and beverage in the space is always top notch and that guests have everything they need.
• Work closely with the wider hotel team to deliver a great guest experience from first contact to departure.
• Handle some admin such as expenses, lists and stationery orders.
• Learn the basics of tech equipment (HDMI, USB, Mac, PC) if needed.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality, whether a drink, a meal, an event or accommodation.
• Able to create a memorable experience for everyone you meet.
• Scarily organised, able to multi-task, prioritise and re-prioritise as things come in.
• Great at building long-lasting relationships and paying attention to detail.
• Willing to learn new things and work in a supportive, fun team.
