Field Solutions Engineer – Presales (Europe)

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a Presales Field Solutions Engineer to provide technical expertise for its V‑BAT aircraft and broader product suite across European opportunities. The role acts as a technical force multiplier for the Go‑To‑Market team, bridging product road‑maps with customer operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical capture efforts for European opportunities, ensuring solutions align with Shield AI’s roadmap.
• Manage multiple priorities including customer engagements, pre‑sales support, proposal development, and solution design.
• Serve as primary technical lead for GTM engagements, coordinating with BD, Engineering, Operations, Program Management and Product Management.
• Create and maintain technical content for proposals, RFIs, white papers and capability briefs.
• Provide on‑site V‑BAT subject‑matter expertise during customer demonstrations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in technical presales, business development or solutions engineering, preferably in defense, aerospace or AI‑driven technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience working with U.S. Federal or International government requirements.
• Proven leadership, strong analytical and quantitative problem‑solving abilities.

• Artificial Intelligence (AI) and autonomy technologies.
• Defense technology knowledge, including V‑BAT, Hivemind and Vision Systems.
• Technical writing for RFIs, abstracts and quad charts.
