Flight Operations Engineer & UAV Pilot

About the role

Fiducial is seeking a hands‑on Flight Operations Engineer who will also serve as a UAV Pilot. You will ensure that our autonomous drone platforms are flight‑ready, operate them in the field, and work closely with the software team to bridge hardware and autonomy code.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, check, maintain, and troubleshoot multirotor (e.g., Holybro X650) and fixed‑wing UAVs.
• Conduct flight tests, collect data, and validate autonomous flight performance.
• Integrate and debug embedded software and hardware components that enable autonomous flight.
• Work in the workshop, on‑site field locations, and at the terminal to ensure reliable deployment.
• Collaborate with engineers from aerospace, robotics, and computer vision to improve the UAV stack.

Required profile

• Passionate about piloting UAVs and comfortable working with both hardware and software.
• Experience with FPV systems is highly valued.
• Ability to work under pressure during field testing and rapid‑prototype environments.
• Full‑time availability (5 days/week) and willingness to work onsite in Delft.
