Improvement Officer – Start-up of New Pharmaceutical Facility

About the role

As an Improvement Officer you will support the start‑up, optimisation and further development of a new pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to drive safety, reliability and continuous improvement across production processes.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse production data and processes to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Translate root‑cause analyses into practical, sustainable improvement initiatives.
• Support implementation and optimisation of new equipment, automation and digital manufacturing technologies (MES/EBR, OEE+, RTMS, MDH).
• Maintain production data in SAP and coordinate change controls for systems, equipment and processes.
• Collaborate with Maintenance & Reliability to enhance equipment performance and maintenance strategies.

Required profile

• Completed HBO degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (pharma, food, chemical, medical device, etc.).
• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluency in Dutch and/or English with a focus on safety, quality and collaboration.
