International Service Engineer

About the role

Alfa Laval Nijmegen B.V. seeks an International Service Engineer to deliver maintenance, commissioning and advanced troubleshooting services on board maritime vessels worldwide. The role combines hands‑on technical work with customer interaction and continuous improvement of service procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and commissioning services on board ships.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe practices and incidents.
• Travel internationally to service jobs, including sailing with vessels when required.
• Execute maintenance, repair, advanced troubleshooting, and commissioning tasks.
• Document work, obtain customer signatures, and identify improvement opportunities and sales leads.
• Provide training to peers and customers and contribute to SOP improvements.

Required profile

• Customer‑centric mindset with willingness to go the extra mile.
• Technical MBO+ or Bachelor degree in mechanical/electrical engineering.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, process, measuring and control technology.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Open to new talent without prior experience if the right traits are present.

Required skills
