Manufacturing Operator/Technician – Immunology Biotech

About the role

Join MAT Research in Leiden as a Manufacturing Operator/Technician, supporting the production and scale‑up of animal‑free immunology diagnostic kits. You will work in a GMP‑compliant environment, ensuring high‑quality output for the Monocyte Activation Test.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end manufacturing processes, including preparation, formulation, and packaging of MAT kits.
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain bioprocessing and immunoassay equipment, performing routine sterilisation and maintenance.
• Conduct in‑process quality control tests (ELISA, Flow Cytometry) and maintain accurate batch records.
• Support scale‑up activities, process optimisation, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biological/medical sciences with a strong immunology or cellular background.
• At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in biotech or pharmaceutical manufacturing, including PBMC isolations and cellular assays.
• Familiarity with GMP, ISO 9001, and regulatory compliance (ICH).
• Ability to work in a cleanroom or controlled laboratory environment.
