Mechanical Engineer – Digital Imaging & Industrial Printing

About the role

Cross Border Talents is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer for its client in the Netherlands, which operates a global network of R&D centres in digital imaging, industrial printing and collaborative business services. The engineer develops and engineers units and components, defines requirements with stakeholders and produces technical designs and concepts in collaboration with colleagues from different departments.

Key responsibilities

• Design mechanical components and units in NX CAD/CAE
• Specify, realise and verify mechanical design requirements
• Prepare unit and part documentation (drawings, instructions, requirements)
• Carry out tolerance decompositions in units
• Review designs with vendors
• Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• Knowledge of design principles for precision mechanisms
• Knowledge of manufacturing technologies such as machining, sheet metal and plastics
• Fluent English, verbal and written; Dutch is a plus
• Available for 32-40 hours per week

Required skills

• Parametric CAD/CAE systems; Siemens NX is preferred
• Eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills
