Robotics Maintenance Technician

About the role

Exotec designs and maintains robotic systems used in warehouses worldwide. As a Robotics Maintenance Technician you will keep these systems running and optimise them across several customer sites in the Venlo and Venray area, ensuring high system availability and a good customer experience. The base location is in Oostrum, with regular travel between sites.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain highly automated robotic systems, including the Skypod system, robots, conveyors and related equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and monitor system performance to find improvement opportunities.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and software issues and minimise downtime through proactive troubleshooting.
• Support installation and expansion projects, upgrades and optimisation initiatives.
• Build relationships with on-site customer teams, respond quickly to emergencies and support customer training.

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, automation, robotics or a similar technical environment.
• Strong problem-solving mindset, eagerness to learn, good communication and teamwork skills, and a customer-oriented attitude.
• Nice to have: experience with automated systems, conveyors or robotics; technical education in Electromechanics, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.

Required skills

• Good mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of automation, software, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to work hands-on in an operational environment.
• Good level of spoken English.
