Onsite Laptop Migration Technician

About the role

A large-scale workplace technology project across several locations in the Netherlands needs onsite laptop migration technicians. Candidates commit to the project for its duration and give hands-on technical support to end users during the migration and deployment of laptops and workplace devices. The project is expected to start in October 2026, with at least two resources needed.

Key responsibilities

• Migrate laptops and workplace devices at various client locations
• Install, configure and deploy laptops and related IT equipment
• Support users during migration and onboarding, including logging in and accessing applications
• Transfer or configure user data, applications and settings
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues
• Check devices before and after migration and follow migration procedures and checklists
• Document completed migrations and escalate complex issues to the support team
• Travel between project sites across the Netherlands

Required profile

• Previous experience in onsite IT support, desktop support, laptop deployment or workplace migrations
• Valid Category B driving licence and own reliable car
• Willingness to travel to different client sites in the Netherlands
• Fluent Dutch and English
• Ability to work independently and a customer-oriented attitude

Required skills

• Windows 10/11 and common Microsoft workplace technologies
• Troubleshooting hardware, software and user issues
• Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint (an advantage)
