Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to shape the quality culture within our web development team. Reporting to the Lead Developer, you will work at the intersection of automation, release management and analysis across two Agile Scrum teams, helping to shift quality “left” and ensure reliable releases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain end‑to‑end test automation suites using Playwright with Python.
• Implement CI/CD quality gates and automated pre‑deployment checks.
• Create scheduled bug‑detection scripts and define severity rules for releases.
• Embed acceptance criteria into Jira tickets and collaborate early in the requirements phase.
• Maintain structured manual test plans for ongoing deployments and major product launches.
• Empower developers to own unit and integration tests and make final go/no‑go deployment decisions.
