Risk Manager

About the role

The Risk Manager will be responsible for and will support and oversee the organisation’s risk management framework across the Group, ensuring risks are effectively identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated. This roleholder will ensure and strengthen the Group’s risk culture, enhance risk awareness across business units, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update risk registers in line with the organisation’s risk appetite.
• Support the development and monitoring of key risk indicators (KRIs) and controls.
• Lead and coordinate risk assessments, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented.
• Conduct regular reviews and testing to assess the effectiveness of controls.
• Investigate risk events, oversee resolution and capture lessons learned.
• Act as the primary contact for risk‑related queries across the Group.
• Prepare risk reports and dashboards for senior leadership and governance forums.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in risk management, operational risk, or ERM, preferably in fintech or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, controls testing, and regulatory requirements (FCA, NBB, DORA).
• Familiarity with risk reporting tools, dashboards, and data analysis.
• Relevant qualifications in risk, compliance, or financial services (e.g., IRM, ARM) desirable.
• Proven ability to engage senior leaders and provide actionable risk insights.
