Senior Consultant Enterprise Risk Management

About the role

EY is hiring a Senior Consultant for its Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team in Amsterdam, part of Risk Consulting Services, which advises clients in the private, public and financial sectors on strategy, organisation and risk management. The role focuses on clients in the public sector and the financial and non-financial private sector.

Key responsibilities

• Internal audit: plan and carry out internal audits by testing internal controls (including via data analysis), and help develop improvement plans; also support risk management, internal control, ISAE 3402 and SOX assignments.
• Risk transformation: help design or improve ERM frameworks, prepare and run risk assessments, and advise on client risk appetite and emerging risks such as geopolitical developments.
• Process optimisation: advise on designing, adapting and improving processes, identify improvements and coordinate their implementation.
• Regulatory compliance: support clients in preparing for regulator inspections, resolving findings, transforming risk functions to regulator requirements, gap assessments for new rules, bank licensing applications and identifying new regulated risk types.
• Programme (risk) management: help organisations design, steer and deliver programmes effectively, using methods and tools such as ServiceNow and Microsoft, and provide end-to-end support.
• Lead project teams, coach juniors and build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• A completed university master's degree, preferably in finance/accounting, economics, business, IT audit/control or law.
• At least 3 years of experience in risk management, internal control, audit and/or SOX.
• Good spoken and written Dutch and English.
• Flexibility and ability to switch quickly in a dynamic environment.
