Senior Engineer Plans and Arrangements

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Engineer Plans & Arrangements to join our Plans & Arrangements (P&A) team within the Engineering department. You will develop statutory plans based on ship specifications and stakeholder requirements, collaborating across multiple engineering disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and interpret norms, rules, regulations and customer requirements for assigned plans.
• Prepare statutory plans using 2D and 3D software, ensuring compliance with standards and client specifications.
• Identify challenges, discuss them with the Lead Engineer Plans and propose effective solutions.
• Collaborate with various engineering disciplines to achieve optimal technical outcomes.
• Adapt to evolving project needs and stay updated with latest developments.
• Contribute to the development and professionalisation of the P&A department.

Required profile

• Secondary vocational education (MBO-4+) related to outfitting or engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience drafting statutory plans.
• Knowledge of class and statutory regulations, preferably in shipbuilding or offshore.
• Good command of written and verbal English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 2D and 3D CAD systems: Microstation, SolidWorks, 3DExperience (CATIA).
