Senior iOS Engineer

About the role

Join Polarsteps, a fast‑growing travel‑tech company, to shape the iOS experience for millions of users worldwide. You’ll work in a small, high‑impact team delivering new features, improving performance and ensuring the app remains reliable at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Lead iOS Engineer and a cross‑functional product pillar team to design, develop and ship new app features.
• Maintain and enhance existing functionality, addressing technical debt and improving app resilience.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, contribute to code reviews and help define architecture decisions.
• Optimize performance and memory usage using Xcode Instruments and modern concurrency tools.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of hands‑on iOS development experience in an agile environment.
• Pragmatic problem‑solver comfortable tackling UI, architecture or legacy code challenges.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Swift (modern Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, Swift Concurrency) and familiarity with legacy Objective‑C.
• UIKit, complex UI construction, multithreading (GCD) and performance tuning.
• Realm, Swift Package Manager, Fastlane, GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Use of AI coding assistants (e.g., Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex) to boost productivity.

What we offer

• Salary €85,000‑€100,000 gross per year (senior level) plus 8% holiday allowance.
