Senior Manager, Compliance (Netherlands)

About the role

Remote is building a Financial Services subgroup and needs a Senior Manager, Compliance for its Dutch‑regulated payments entity. You will design and operate AML/KYB processes, ensure compliance with EU and Dutch legislation, and support the General Manager and Board on all compliance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the compliance team, including the MLCO, and oversee the second line of defence across the EEA.
• Own the compliance framework, annual compliance plan, monitoring plan, and related budget and resource planning.
• Draft and maintain policies on customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reporting, anti‑bribery, and sanctions compliance.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports, stay current on regulatory changes, and act as escalation point for KYB and transaction‑monitoring cases.

Required profile

• Extensive second‑line experience in financial crime compliance within the financial sector.
• Deep knowledge of European payments legislation (e.g., PSD2) and Dutch financial legislation (e.g., Wft, Wwft).
• Previous compliance and compliance‑operations roles in a global financial services firm.
• Resident of the Netherlands and holder of professional AML/MLRO certifications.
