Senior Manager – Operational Due Diligence & Value Creation

About the role

Join PwC’s Delivering Deal Value team in Amsterdam as a Senior Manager focused on operational due diligence and value creation. You will work on pre‑deal engagements, helping buyers and sellers understand the financial impact of operational changes throughout a transaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple pre‑deal projects simultaneously, overseeing scope, methodology, quality and delivery.
• Serve as the primary client contact from initial scoping to final presentation, translating complex operational and financial analyses into clear recommendations for deal teams, CFOs and investment professionals.
• Collaborate closely with Partners and Directors, ensuring their input is integrated at the right stages.
• Provide deep expertise in core operational functions such as finance, supply chain, working capital, procurement and sales, acting as the go‑to specialist for these areas.
• Critically review team deliverables, challenge assumptions, test model logic and ensure conclusions are defensible.
• Identify opportunities for scope extensions, follow‑on work and additional client needs, converting them into new engagements.
• Build and maintain a market network to stay close to deal flow and generate early opportunities.
• Coach and develop Associates, Senior Associates and Managers, raising the analytical standards of the team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in operational due diligence, carve‑out assessments, synergy analysis or related pre‑deal work.
• Strong understanding of the end‑to‑end transaction process and the ability to anticipate client needs at each stage.
• Proven ability to manage senior‑level client relationships and lead multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Excellent commercial judgment and the capacity to spot value‑creating opportunities before analysis confirms them.

Required skills

• Deep financial analysis capability, including EBITDA, cash conversion, working capital and capex modeling.
• Expertise in at least one operational function (e.g., finance, supply chain, procurement, sales).
• Strong presentation and communication skills for senior stakeholders.
