Senior Pipeline Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Pipeline Engineer in Cenosco’s Domain Experts team, you will combine deep pipeline integrity knowledge with product development to shape a SaaS platform used by leading energy companies worldwide. You will influence how operators manage pipeline risk, improve safety, and drive sustainable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Product Management and Software Engineering to define the pipeline integrity roadmap, from problem definition to user stories, acceptance criteria and release validation.
• Translate industry standards such as API 1160, ASME B31.8S and B31.8 into functional requirements for the development team.
• Author and review technical specifications, calculation logic and product documentation, and verify that shipped features behave correctly against real pipeline data.
• Bring the operator’s perspective into design reviews, prototypes and usability sessions to ensure solutions match day‑to‑day practice.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Static Integrity, Reliability and Functional Safety disciplines to maintain a coherent plant‑wide view of asset integrity.
• Lead business‑process workshops that map customer integrity management onto the platform and identify improvement opportunities.
• Guide implementation, configuration and data‑migration projects alongside Customer Success and Delivery teams.
• Provide training and awareness sessions on inspection planning, anomaly management, corrosion assessments, fitness‑for‑service, degradation management and risk‑based decision making.
• Address complex technical questions post‑go‑live and feed recurring patterns back into the product roadmap.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in pipeline integrity engineering within the energy or oil‑&‑gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., API 1160, ASME B31.8S, B31.8).
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with product, engineering and customer‑facing teams.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both engineers and operators.
